Celia Loretta (Connell) Walker

Celia L. Walker, 62, passed through heavens gate Wednesday, February 28, 2018.

She is survived by her husband, Doug Hamilton; her sisters, Margaret Jane Kennedy and husband, Gary of Manalapan, NJ, Mary Susan Bullock and husband, Kenneth of Mineral Wells, TX, Sandy Lambe and husband, Kevin of Phoenix, AZ; several nephews and nieces, Brian, Megan, Brad, David, Brenda and Steven; and many other family including her sweet dog, Lilly; and friends. Celia was preceded in death by her parents, William and Allene Connell.

Celia was a graduate of Eldorado High School in 1974. She then received her Bachelors degree from Panhandle State University in Oklahoma, and completed her Masters in Education at UNM. She was a teacher for Albuquerque Public Schools for over 20 years. Celia loved her family and enjoyed her career.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Wednesday, March 7, 2018, 4:00 p.m., at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 9315 Candelaria Road NE, Albuquerque, NM. Friends may attend a visitation on Tuesday, March 6, 2018, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., at FRENCH - Lomas. Private burial will take place at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
