Cecilia Louise Genero, 88, was born in Albuquerque, NM and passed away August 21, 2026, of natural causes.
Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She is survived by her sons and daughter, Joseph, Celeste, and Harry; 11 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Cecilia was preceded in death by her husband, John Edward Genero; and son, John Edward Genero, Jr.
She was loved by all who met her, and will be remembered for her strength, love, and character. She will be greatly missed.
A Rosary will be recited Wednesday, September 2, 2026, 7:00 p.m., at FRENCH - University, with visitation beginning at 6:00 p.m. Mass will be celebrated Thursday, September 3, 2026, 9:00 a.m., at St. Anne Catholic Church, 1400 Arenal Rd. SW, with visitation at 8:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE.
