Rina was raised in Northern Italy, during a time of great hardship, coming of age during World War II as her homeland endured occupation and conflict. These early experiences shaped her strength, her perspective, and her deep reliance on faith.

After the war, she met and married George Giraudo, an Italian American from Albuquerque, New Mexico. Together, they began a new chapter when she immigrated to the United States, where they built a life grounded in family, perseverance, and opportunity.

Rina was a devoted wife and mother who raised three children, Anthony, George Jr., and Michelle, with devotion, discipline, and strong Catholic values. Rina was also blessed with five grandchildren, Gianna, Andrea, Nicolas, Sebastian, Francesca, and one great-grandchild, Naomi. She balanced family life with remarkable determination, owning and operating several businesses, including a grocery store, a paint store, and a homemade ravioli business that became beloved in her Italian community. She also managed her own real estate properties.

She shared her talents by teaching Italian cooking classes and remained active in her church communities, first at St. Anne's and later at Church of Our Lord in Albuquerque's Southwest Valley. At the Church of our Lord, Father Trott had a lasting influence on Rina's son George Jr. from his youth onward. He played an important role in his life, supporting him and helping guide him along his path. Rina and George Jr. both found great meaning in Father Trott's sermons and were enriched by his presence in their lives.

Rina was known for her optimism, social skills, and ability to care for those in need. She spoke multiple languages and had a natural gift for connecting with others, making everyone feel welcome. She was multilingual-speaking Italian, Piedmontese, French, Spanish, and English-which further deepened her ability to engage with others.

She had a strong sense of purpose and approached life with a practical mindset-focused on what needed to be done each day rather than dwelling on the past or worrying about the future. She worked hard, saved carefully, and made it a priority to bring her children to Italy to stay connected with their roots and extended family.

She found joy in gardening and took pride in growing her own food, including fruit trees. Her cooking was central to her life and to the lives of those around her, and she became known for her traditional Italian dishes, including ravioli, chicken cacciatore, risotto, polenta, and homemade bread.

Her faith was a constant presence throughout her life. Raised in the Catholic tradition, she attended Mass daily as a child and carried that discipline into adulthood through daily prayer. The "Our Father" remained her favorite prayer, and her guiding principle was simple: always do the right thing.

Rina will be remembered for her strength, her independence, her ability to connect with others, and the life she built through hard work, faith, and perseverance. Her legacy lives on in the traditions she passed down and in the many people whose lives she influenced.
