Cary Hill

August 1, 1946 — November 29, 2024

Cary A. Hill was born in Stillwater, Oklahoma on August 1, 1946 to Cary L. Hill and Juanda Hill. He grew up in Stillwater with his parents and older sister Jeanie. He later moved to Golden, Colorado where he graduated from Golden High School. He went on to graduate with his Bachelor's degree from Oklahoma State University, where he was part of Kappa Alpha fraternity. He was a proud member of the Pawnee Nation.

Cary spent most of his career as a Disc Jockey for radio stations in Cheyenne, Wyoming; Albuquerque, New Mexico; and Sacramento, California. This career enabled him to foster his passion for music. He could recognize the artist/band and name of almost any song within the first few seconds of hearing it.

Cary returned to Albuquerque in 2007 and worked in the casino industry before retiring.

He passed away in Albuquerque on November 29, 2024 at the age of 78.

Cary was known as a loyal friend and would always lend a helping hand to a friend in need. He had friends he kept from all phases in his life and his many moves around the country. His jovial and positive spirit will be remembered by all who knew him. He loved cars, college football and basketball (OSU Cowboys), music and spending time with his family. He was young at heart and loved telling jokes. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer; son-in-law, Rick; and grandchildren, Madelyn and Ricky.
