Carolyn "Sue" Crenshaw Ferguson, born on January 10, 1946, in Artesia, New Mexico, passed away on March 7, 2026, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who cherished her family above all else. Sue is survived by her daughters Vonda England and Paula Gonzales, along with their spouses, and a loving pack of grandchildren: Joshua England, Jon Michael England, Caleb Gonzales, and Cerena Gonzales. She was also a proud great-grandmother to Lane and Trevor England.
Known for her warm spirit and creativity, Sue had a passion for sewing, crocheting, and gardening. These hobbies not only filled her days with joy but also provided her with loving projects that she often shared with her family. Many will remember her quiet evenings spent lovingly stitching away or digging her hands into the soil, creating beautiful gardens that brightened her home.
Sue's life was filled with memorable moments and stories shared around the dinner table, where laughter often echoed. She leaves a legacy of love, kindness, and the importance of family that will be felt by all who knew her.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, George and Margaret Crenshaw, along with all nine of her siblings: Nita Taylor, Wanda Hopper, Dot Parker, Gwen Swann, Wayne Crenshaw, Hal Crenshaw, Cal Crenshaw, Chick Crenshaw, and Francy Fields.
To honor Sue's wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will return to Artesia, where she will be laid to rest at a future date.
