Carole Ann Jensen

Carole Ann Jensen of Albuquerque, NM, passed away after a brief illness on Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at the age of 75. Carole was born to parents, Emil Arthur and Laura Marie (Hall) Mahlke in Valley City, ND, on July 9, 1938. Carole grew up in Wimbledon, ND, and after graduation moved to Fargo, ND, where she met her future husband. Carole married Wesley Eugene (Gene) Jensen of Williston, ND, on December 12, 1959. Carole and Gene resided in Fargo, ND, San Antonio, TX, Shawnee Mission, KS, Overland Park, KS, and Faucett, MO. Gene passed away in 1991, and Carole moved to Albuquerque, NM, in 1995 to be close to her daughter. Carole was preceded in death by her parents and by her siblings, Melvin Mahlke, Art Mahlke, Emil Mahlke Jr., Pearl Frahm, and Richard Mahlke. She is survived by siblings, Henrietta Killeen, Darlene Kennell, and Larry Mahlke. She is also survived by her two children, Daniel Eugene Jensen of Omaha, NE, and Deborah Lynn Jensen of Edgewood, NM; her five grandchildren, Travis Daniel Wesley Jensen of St. Paul, MN, Kelsey Alexandra Engels of Bellevue, NE, and Erik Robert Kill, Carina Michelle Kill, and Christopher Daniel Kill of Edgewood, NM, and four great-grandchildren, Tyler Eugene Sorenson, Shawn Michael Sorenson, and Megan Louise Sorenson of Lincoln, NE, and Bianca Jela Jukic of Duluth, MN. Carole was a loving and generous mother, grandmother, friend, and neighbor, and she will be missed by all whose lives she has touched. A Memorial Service will be held Monday, July 15, 2013, 11:00 a.m. at FRENCH - Lomas. A reception and luncheon will immediately follow the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to Gentiva Hospice Foundation, in appreciation for the care and comfort they gave Carole and her family during her final days.
