Carol Theresa Buchner

Carol Theresa Buchner, born February 13, 1959, in the Bronx, New York, passed peacefully on July 31, 2026, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, the city she called home. She was 67 years old and lived every single day to the fullest.

Carol was a woman whose voice could be heard from miles away - and whose love could be felt just as far. She spent years as a kitchen manager at Midnight Rodeo and shared her passion for country dancing by directing Country Express, a television dance show on Channel 27 alongside her beloved daughter, Suzanne. Whether she was on a dance floor, working a puzzle, or marveling at dolphins and orcas, Carol brought joy and energy to everything she touched. She was with absolutely no doubt in our hearts a proud member of God's Angels, her faith was a quiet and steady current beneath all she did.

Carol's greatest treasure was her family. She is survived by her sons, Troy Holliday (wife, Lory) and Travis Holliday (wife, Tanya); grandchildren, Lori, Alexandria, Dallas, Troy Jr., Bryton, Arianna, Rhea, Maya, Mackenzie, and Tyler; six great-grandchildren, Logan, Haiden, Elias, Aurora, Jadalynn, and Aliah; her brother, Ralph Buchner Jr. (wife, Denise); nieces and nephews, Roy, Antoinette, Felicia, Dominic, and Richard; along with 7 great-nieces and 6 great-nephews. She was proudly called Mom by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Lorraine Buchner; her cherished daughter, Suzanne; and her grandson, Marcos - all of whom are welcoming her home. Carol returns now to the arms she missed most, and heaven is surely a little louder and a whole lot warmer.
