Carmaleta (Carma) Jacques

Surrounded by her loving family, Carmaleta (Carma) Jacques, age 80, beloved and devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away on Monday, August 20, 2018. Carma was born in Fort Worth, TX, graduated from Cuba, NM High School and lived her entire adult life in Albuquerque. Carma will be dearly missed by her daughters and son, Cary (Steve) Larson, Kathy Jacques, John (Liz) Jacques and Christine Jacques; and surviving sister, TexAnn (Alex) Maestas. She is also survived by grandchildren, Jake (Jenni) Larson, Nick Larson, Brittany (Juan) Lopez, Gage Bustos, Harley Jacques, Rachel Jacques, Kailey, Sydney, Dylan Larson, Audrina Lopez; and many special family members and friends. Carma and her husband Raymond were married for 57 years before his passing in 2015.

Carma was a beautiful and loving soul who loved to travel. Her family came first in her every thought. Our love for her will never waiver. Carma was passionate about education and history. She returned to college in her 50's to pursue her love of English and writing, and earned her degree. She was a devout Catholic and cherished our Lord.

A Rosary will be recited on Thursday, August 30, 2018 at 6:30 p.m. at FRENCH - Wyoming in Albuquerque, NM. All are invited to attend. A reception will follow. Mass will be celebrated Friday, August 31, 2018 at 9:30 a.m. at Risen Savior Catholic Community, 7701 Wyoming Blvd. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
