With profound sadness, the family of Carla Clifford-Hunter announces her peaceful passing on July 14, 2026, at the age of 79.

Born on January 2, 1947, in Santa Fe, New Mexico, Carla lived a life defined by compassion, strength, and unwavering love for her family and friends. She devoted many years of her career to serving as a school nurse, where her gentle spirit and caring heart touched the lives of countless students, parents, and colleagues. Whether offering comfort to a frightened child or encouragement to those around her, Carla embodied kindness in every aspect of her life.

Outside of her profession, Carla found her greatest happiness in the simple joys of life. She loved shopping, trying new restaurants, and spending quality time with family and friends. Her warmth, infectious smile, and generous heart made every gathering feel like home. She had a special way of making people feel welcomed, valued, and deeply loved, leaving a lasting impression on everyone she met.

Carla's faith in Jesus Christ was the foundation of her life. Following her passing, her family found great comfort in discovering Romans 10:9 highlighted in her Bible: "If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." That verse now stands as a beautiful reminder of the hope she carried throughout her life and the eternal promise she embraced.

Carla is lovingly survived by her sons, Glenn and Curtis ; her beloved granddaughter, Alexis; and her cherished great-granddaughter, Azariah. She also leaves behind extended family members, treasured friends, and countless individuals whose lives were made better by her compassion, generosity, and unwavering love.

Although her family grieves the loss of her earthly presence, they rejoice in the assurance that she is now at peace in the presence of her Savior. Her legacy of faith, selfless service, and unconditional love will continue to live on through the generations she helped shape.
