December 11, 1940 — June 18, 2017
Carl James Schmidt, age 76, a loving husband and father, passed away June 18, 2017. He is survived by his wife, Peggy; his children, Daren and Kristen; and his grandchildren, Brooklyn, Daniel, Emma, and Colin.
He was born in Coffeeville, KS, grew up in Los Alamos, NM during WWII, and finally Albuquerque by high school where he met his wife of 55 years. He graduated from UNM with a Juris Doctorate in 1968 and practiced law in many different forms throughout his life. He loved woodworking, cooking, writing, and caring for his family. .
