Bryan Hernandez

April 3, 1995 — December 17, 2023

Bryan Daniel Hernandez, 28, of Albuquerque, NM, passed away on December 17, 2023 after a battle with liver cirrhosis and alcohol hepatitis.

Bryan was born on April 3rd, 1995 to Teri Jo Russ and Edward Eric Hernandez in Redlands, CA. Bryan attended Needles High School but did not finish.

After leaving school he strived to help and communicate with people and pursued a career in customer service. He loved helping people in any way he could, he also was a cook for a brief moment but felt he was better suited for customer service. He worked for companies like Spirit Halloween, Michaels, Circle K and Denny's. While working at Michaels he had received Employee of The Month Nov. 2015 and Jan 2016 he held manager positions in just about every place he worked, and was a truly hard working man.

In December 2013, Bryan met Novina Martinez in Albuquerque, NM. Bryan married Novina Dec. 16 2016 in a private courthouse ceremony. Bryan and Novina went on to have 2 children, Ruben Bryan Hernandez and Valkyrie Astrid Hernandez.

In Bryan's free time he loved spending it with his family and mostly his son and best friend Ruben. He loved playing video games like Fortnite, Fallout Series, Skyrim, COD Zombies and Diablo. He loved music just as much he was always jamming to something from Take Me On by A-Ha to Daisy by Brand New to stuff by DubstepGutter to old school stuff by the Ink Spots. When it came to music there were no limits and he always gave everything a listen. He had a love for movies and anime too. I feel like he favored Marvel movies, specifically Spider-Man but he definitely loved comedy movies and action as well. His favorite super heroes were Spider-Man and Deadpool. His favorite movies include A Bronx Tale, Avengers Endgame, Spider-Man Into the Universe and Across the Universe. His favorite animes were Death Note, Fullmetal Alchemist, One Punch Man, Attack On Titan, and SOULEATER. He was also a huge fan of Rick and Morty. He always wanted to laugh or be on the edge of his seat when it came to movies. He loved watching YouTube gaming channels, or easter eggs in video games, or spooky subreddits, or random subreddit stories. He loved talking about his life and loved talking in general. He could hold a conversation about anything and everything. He was very much a people person and could tell a complete stranger his whole life if he had the chance.

Bryan was a very caring person he loved helping whenever he got the chance. He gave so much and loved so much. His personality was amazing. He was very outgoing and always the center of attention but in a good way. He was funny and always laughed and joked around. He just connected with everyone in some type of way. He was a very well liked and loved person. It was hard not to like him after a conversation with him. He left a lasting impression on people. Everyone who encountered him has always said he was such a cool and amazing person. He was a very proud man. He was proud of his family, his son, his daughter, his wife and his life. He had such a huge golden heart and loved endlessly. He had an immaculate energy and all around. It was warm and comforting and he loved to his fullest extent. He was a person you just felt safe around. He emitted such love and comfort to all. He made you feel important and protected. He was such a unique, kind, caring, loving and comforting soul. He was a guy that would go into a place and come out with new friends and connections everywhere he went. He was very well known.

When it came to accomplishing his goals he was very determined and got things done and always went above and beyond to achieve that goal. I could go on about how amazing Bryan is but life doesn't fit all into just a few paragraphs because his life was so full and amazing. I could write a book about him. I'll leave you with one of his favorite quotes from his favorite movie “A Bronx Tale” - “The saddest thing in life is wasted talent, and the choices that you make will shape your life forever.”

Bryan was predeceased by his grandparents Ruben and Conchita Hernandez. He is survived by his wife Novina Martinez, his kids Ruben and Valkyrie Hernandez, his parents Edward Hernandez and Teri Russ, his sister Kaitlyn Hernandez, his step sister Cassandra Hernandez and his step sister Paloma Hernandez.
