Brian Polyard

Brian Polyard, 68, our beloved Father, Brother, and Son passed away on October 3rd 2025. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Brian's name to the National Eagle Center in Wabasha, MN https://www.nationaleaglecenter.org/donate/

Brian Polyard was born on April 16th, 1957 in Wabasha Minnesota to Lester and Florence Polyard. Brian loved fishing, being outdoors, and car and boat racing. He loved everything classic, especially cars and motorcycles and working on them. But above anything else he loved his family and friends deeply.

He was a proud mechanic working for the Galles family nearly his entire career. In that career he earned multiple technician of the year awards as well as earning the dealerships multiple dealer of the year awards. He was a hard worker and dedicated to doing the best. He retired in 2012.

Brian loved all types of racing. He especially loved boat racing and even helped his good friend win back-to-back-to-back championships with his Top Fuel Hydro boat. Something he was extremely proud of.

Most importantly Brian was a family man. A devoted father to his son Matt, who was his entire world. He was a caring brother, son and friend to all that knew him. He was a selfless man with the biggest heart and known to be a big goofball.

Brian's love for his family and friends was immense and he will be incredibly missed by all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his mother and father Lester and Florence (Skip) Polyard. He is survived by his son, Matt Polyard (wife Brianna Polyard), Brothers Scott Polyard (wife Kim Polyard), Irvin Polyard (wife Ellen Polyard), Dennis Polyard, Jeff Polyard (wife Mel Polyard), and Sister Leslie Mulhall (husband JJ Mulhall). As well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Friends and family will gather for a memorial on Tuesday October 28th at 10:00am at French's on Wyoming Blvd with a reception to follow at 11:00am in the reception hall.
