To know Braxton was to know a boy with a gentle heart, a quiet spirit, and so much love for his family/friends.

Braxton was born on December 14, 2014, to Shawn and Vanessa Ahasteen. He grew up alongside his brothers, Hayden and Mayson, making memories that his family will carry with them for the rest of their lives.

Braxton and his mom shared a bond all their own. Vanessa called him her "Velcro baby," a name that perfectly described a little boy who always wanted to be close to his mama.

He could be quiet and reserved, but there was so much personality beneath that reserve. Braxton loved playing football for Sandia Yafl and cheering for the Miami Dolphins. He was a good student who did well in school, and he had a wonderfully creative side. He enjoyed arts and crafts and had a special love for knitting. His favorite colors were red and blue.

And Braxton loved music.

Country music was his favorite, and he loved to sing. Music gave him a chance to come out of his quiet shell, and his family will forever remember his voice and the songs he loved.

There are countless things his family will hold onto-the sound of him singing, the things his hands created, football days, his smile, his quiet presence, and the way he stayed so close to his mama.

Braxton is survived by his loving parents, Shawn and Vanessa Ahasteen; and his brothers, Hayden and Mayson Ahasteen.

He will always be Shawn and Vanessa's son. He will always be Hayden and Mayson's brother. He will always be #14 on the football field. He will always be his mama's Velcro baby.

Braxton will be forever missed and will always be loved. His memory will remain in the hearts of everyone who knew him, and the love he gave will continue to live on through the people whose lives he touched.
