Brandie Nicole Mitchell-Johnson

Brandie Nicole Mitchell-Johnson was born January 17, 1996, in Albuquerque, New Mexico to Lacy Kirk Mitchell Jr. and Donna Marie Dash-Mitchell. She departed this life on Monday, June 16th, 2025. She attended New Mexico School of Natural Therapeutics and was a licensed massage therapist in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She met Jeffery Malcolm Johnson while working abroad in Australia in 2017, and they were married at the Three Sisters Volcanoes in Albuquerque, NM on April 20th, 2021.

Brandie Mitchell was active in church from an early age at Sagebrush Riverside. She spent her childhood involved in various sports and organizations to include track and field, cheerleading, yearbook, student council, Young Life, wrestling manager, and many more. As an adult, Brandie was an outspoken advocate for suicide prevention, working closely with the NM Fight For Life Foundation and Warehouse 505, and a massage therapist with a focus on anti-inflammation and nutrition. Brandie was well known throughout the community for her positivity, humor, ability to shine in the spotlight and willingness to help, which led to her nicknames "SunBurst" and "Princess Brandie". Brandie loved being in nature, planning events, doing photoshoots, coloring, writing poetry, and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband Jeffery Malcolm Johnson; parents Lacy Kirk Mitchell and Donna Marie Dash-Mitchell; sisters Tiffany Alessi (Dominick), Krystal Mitchell, and Channda Mitchell (Theresa); nieces Capri, Sophia and Mila, nephews Andres, Luca and Mateo, and a host of extended family members who will remember her infectious personality.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, June 28, 2025, with a visitation at 11:00 am followed by a service at 12:00 pm at French Funerals - Westside. A reception will be held following service at the French Funerals - Westside Reception Room from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm.

The family expresses gratitude for attendance at any of the services.
