Bonnie K. Suazo, age 82, went to meet the Lord on Thursday, July 31, 2025, after an incredible 25-year fight with cancer. She was the most selfless, kind, generous, and giving person. She was an advocate for homeless and abused animals. She will always be cherished by her family and friends, and will be greatly missed.
The family wishes to extend its sincere gratitude to the doctors and staff at the UNM Cancer Center for their exceptional care. Special thanks are also due to Tyler Nafus at Roadrunner Hospice, who provided extraordinary support to Bonnie and went above and beyond expectations.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Jose E. Suazo, her mother Blanche B. Turner, and her father Ben Turner. She is survived by her son Reuel E. Suazo (Anita T. Suazo), daughter Karen M. Suazo, daughter Monica Vick (Sean Vick), daughter Janel Vogt (Dave Vogt), her fur babies Pixie and Grizz, grandchildren Kayla Zuni, Drake Griffin, Samantha Fleming, Ellen Griffin, Kathryn Griffin, (Lil) Mario Maez, Nicolas Suazo, and Andrew Suazo, great-grandchildren Sawyer and Easton, and great-grandchildren-in-law Brooke and Lillith.
A Celebration of Life is scheduled for Saturday, August 9th, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at FRENCH-Wyoming. Instead of flowers, donations to a local animal charity or Saint Jude are appreciated, reflecting Bonnie's wishes.
