Listen to Obituary

Beverly J. Nys, age 94, devoted wife and loving mother, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 17, 2026.

Beverly ("Bev") made close friends very easily wherever she lived. She was deeply empathetic and often carried the weight of the world on her shoulders. Bev, and her late husband, Bob, were very devoted to their Catholic faith and to their patriotism - calling their individual activities and mutual pursuits "...involvement in Church and State...". Bev could've written a book on the many adventures that she and Bob had in their many household moves and challenges of home ownership, often sharing the phrase, "Ah, The Joys of Home Ownership"!

At one time, Bev worked as a receptionist and social worker at a nursing home. She had also been active in St Thomas Aquinas Parish Public Affairs and the Altar and Rosary Ministry.

Bev is survived by her daughter Carol, son Tom, grandson Aaron as well as several in-laws, nieces, nephews and close friends. Bev was preceded in death by her late husband Robert E. Nys ("Bob"), her parents Roy and Helen Turner, many in-laws, aunts, uncles and countless friends.

We have lost a saint, but heaven has gained an angel!
