Beverly Ann Gardner

October 26, 1938 — November 27, 2023

Albuquerque

Beverly A. Gardner passed on, peacefully, in her home, on Monday, November 27, 2023.  Beverly was born on Wednesday, October 26, 1938, in Winslow, Arizona.  She was preceded in death by her husband Bruce P. Gardner, and her parents Ruby and Sterling MacMillan.

She is survived by her brother, William (wife Carolyn), daughter and son-in-law, Tamie and Chris Pargas, grandsons, Josh (wife Erin), and Jake Pargas, a great-grandson, Ezekiel Bear Pargas, Jeff (wife Carrie and daughter Lucy), Ty (wife Jennifer and children Abigail and Jude), and nephews – Neal, Ross, and Martin (and their wives Janel and Denise and children Ariel, Sean and Kaylee), Mary Lou and Kenneth Harper, her very best friend, Patricia Shine Wiltshire, and so many more wonderful and loving family and friends.

Beverly lived a blessed and wonderful life to its fullest.  She spent many of her younger years in Mississippi, where many of her family still reside.  She met her husband, Bruce, after her family moved from Arizona to Albuquerque, NM.  They met at an ice hockey match where he was the goalie for the Kirtland Flyers.  They were married in March of 1956; she was 17 years old.  He had to sign as her guardian for her high school report cards during her senior year.  Bruce was stationed at Kirtland Air Force Base, in Albuquerque, after enlisting in the USAF in his hometown of Palisades Park, NJ.

Beverly worked as a bank teller, in retail sales (JC Penney), and cosmetology (Lancôme at The Broadway) after Tamie went into high school.  Beverly and Bruce enjoyed boating, camping, snowmobiling, fishing, bowling, and car racing. She was one of the first powder-puff race car drivers in NM.  After Bruce passed away, Beverly traveled to many exciting and fun places with her girlfriends and with her family.  She enjoyed reading, puzzles, Hallmark movies, shopping, sewing, designing, and making masks (during COVID), chatting with friends and family, eating out, and anything sweet.  Beverly, Mom, and Nana loved life and her family and friends!
