Betty Ann Patrick, 92, longtime resident of Albuquerque, passed away in the early hours of her date of her birthday, December 19, 2017 snuggling with her four legged companion, Mandy.
Betty is survived by her children, Larry "Lorance" Clow and wife, Pam of Emmett, ID, Halley Patrick of Albuquerque, NM, Ann Compton and husband, Rodney of Craig, CO, and Rick Patrick of Albuquerque, NM; grandchildren, Daniel Anderson, Krisitn Gallegos, Christopher Compton, and Catherine Compton-Custred; three great-grandchildren and one on the way, along with friends and extended family members. Betty was preceded in death by her parents; her loving and devoted husband of 57 years, Ulric; and her sister, Lorraine Walter.
She was born in Kirk, CO in 1925 and raised on a farm and lived through the dust-bowl days. She was no stranger to hard work. Betty Ann and her sister, Lorraine, studied nursing in Denver, CO. While visiting Albuquerque, as part of her training rotation, she met Ulric and subsequently married and began raising their family. She made a career out of nursing and eventually retired from St. Joseph Hospital in Albuquerque, NM. Betty Ann valued family and friends, loved nature and all of God's creation. Everything she did was to the fullest; devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, friend, prayer warrior, and nurse just to name a few. Betty was a thoughtful member of every community she participated in. She will be forever remembered as a loving and thoughtful woman, even asking "how can I help you" during the last hours of her life.
Services will be held on Thursday, December 21, 2017 at 10:00 a.m., at FRENCH – University. She will be laid to rest with her husband at Santa Fe National Cemetery on Friday, December 22, 2017 at 10:30 a.m.
