Betty (Cordova) Castillo

Betty (Cordova) Castillo, a devoted wife, mother, friend, educator, and longtime resident of Albuquerque died on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at the age of 92.

Betty grew up in Jarales, New Mexico and graduated from Albuquerque High School. She attended The University of New Mexico where she earned her Bachelors and Masters degrees in Education.

Betty is preceded in death by her husband Bill Castillo. She is survived by her children, Charles Castillo and wife Elizabeth Hogan, Janice Castillo and husband Greg Alarid, and Robert Castillo; grandchildren Claire Alarid, Nicholas Alarid, and Antonio Castillo.

A rosary will be recited on May 14, 2026, at 8:00am and Mass will be celebrated at 8:30am at Our Lady of the Annunciation Parish, 2621 Vermont St. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Catholic Cemetery, 7999 Wyoming Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87109. A reception will follow the graveside at The St. Magdalene Room at Our Lady of the Annunciation Parish.
