Betty Jean Brumfield

Betty J. Brumfield, born September 20, 1934, peacefully left to join her family and Lord Jesus on Thursday, May 7, 2020.

A wonderful mother and grandmother, she is survived by her sons, Jeffery Brumfield and wife, Paula, Brian Brumfield and wife, Shelyce; her daughter, Miriam Grier and husband, Larry; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Marion (Hank) Brumfield; daughter, Yvonne Dutton; parents, Bertha and Jacob Janssen; sisters, Delores Whited and Marion Whited; and brother, Harrison Janssen.

Betty worked at Sandia Labs and Compass Bank before serving alongside her husband as they pastored churches in Texas and New Mexico. She was a faithful member of Trinity Family Church.

The family would like to express our heartfelt appreciation to the staff of Advantage Assisted Living for their exemplary care and support of our Mother and Grandmother.

Private family services will be held with Betty being placed with her husband at Sunset Memorial Park. A public Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
