Bethanne Hendrix Lane

Born in Mesa, Arizona on March 3, 1990, Bethanne brought light and love into this world. If love at first sight is possible, that's exactly what happened when her parents first laid eyes on her. She was tiny and tough, not only as a baby but throughout her life.

Her curiosity for the world around her began very early. In the crib, she would peek out between the bumper pad and mattress to watch, listen and wait for what would happen next. This curiosity carried over into a love of nature and animals that she maintained throughout her life. She would zoom in with her camera to catch the beauty of daffodils, or pick up driftwood and precious rocks to add to her collection during camping trips. She was truly an adventurer.

Bethanne described her world through creative journaling where she wove stories with vivid imagery and symbolism. She put a fun twist on everything she touched. For birthdays, balloons were dropped from the ceiling to celebrate. Her hysterical sense of humor was always topped off with a beautiful smile.

She earned a degree in nursing from CNM and worked in Labor & Delivery at Presbyterian Hospitals. Her selfless love for others shone through in her work. She continued to receive notes of gratitude from parents long after her little patients had left the hospital.

Bethanne experienced great heartache in her short life, but her love for Heavenly Parents and the Savior shone through her trials. She left hand-written reminders of this love around her house. "Be thou humble; and the Lord God shall lead thee by the hand and give thee answers to thy prayers. Humble: submit to His will" ... and she did.

More than anything in the world, she fiercely loved her family. She knew, when she met and married Trevor, that she had found her eternal love. He and her children meant everything to her! She loved to experience life through their eyes and made every moment together unforgettable.

Bethanne is survived by her husband, Trevor Lane; her children, Tess Sanders, McKenna Lane, Mason Lane and Tally Sanders; her parents, Gina and Bryon Hendrix; and her brother John Weslee Hendrix.

She will be forever missed by all who knew and loved her. Until we meet again....
