Bertha Lena (Vallucci) Trollinger

Bertha Trollinger nee: Vallucci, passed away at her home on Sunday, August 20, 2023. She was born in Swastika, NM (later Brilliant, NM after WWII) on Thursday, September 11, 1924. She is preceded in death by her husband Clifford; and her parents, Vincenzo and Adelina; brother, Frank Vallucci, and sister Loretta Moore. She is survived by her three children: Vincent Trollinger (Danice), Julie Bachechi (Pete), and Everett Trollinger (Tammy); her four grandchildren: Ryan Trollinger (Mandi), Jeffrey Trollinger (Ellen), Emily Bernal (Anthony), and Tyler Trollinger. Four great-grandchildren: Alex, Luna, Mason, and Miles; five sisters; two brothers-in-law; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was a longtime member of The Club Culturale Italiano, Inc., and the St. Charles Borromeo Women’s Auxiliary. She retired from Sandia National Laboratories in 1984. Special thanks to her great-niece Alisa for guiding her healthcare; and caregivers; Nancy, Amy, and Laurel, for their endless support, patience, and compassion. The family will receive friends from 6:00-7:00p.m. on Wednesday, August 30, 2023, followed by a Vigil Service given by Father Tim Martinez at 7:00p.m., at FRENCH- University. Interment to follow at a later date in Santa Fe National Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the Carmelite Monastery, 49 Mount Carmel Road, Santa Fe, NM   87505-0352.
