In memory of Benito Arroyo, a father who gave selflessly and whose quiet humility warmed our hearts. Benito was a hard worker who always had an infectious smile. Benito passed away while sleeping peacefully in his home in Albuquerque, NM, on June 24, 2026, after a brave battle with cancer.

Growing up, he used to say, "I'm going to be tall like my uncle Boie." As a man, he loved the outdoors, especially going camping and fishing, and his absolute favorite food to eat was chicharron. The greatest joy in his life was his children, Cynthia Padilla and Dominique Vigil, and his grandson, Joel Marciano Padilla, who was truly the light of his eyes. A father and grandfather's love knows no bounds, and the selfless devotion Benito gave to them will live on in their hearts forever.

He is survived by his mother, Maria Geneva Rael; his brother, Trinidad Arroyo and his sisters, Darlene Erevia and Donna Villanueva. He is also survived by his aunts, Maria Elena, Josie, Joanna, and Debbie, as well as his sisters' deep love which will forever carry his memory.

Benito is now reunited with his dad Toby, grandma Flora, and grandpa Masa in heaven, where there is no more pain, only eternal peace. We are deeply grateful that his departure was blessed by the dedicated care of Juan.

Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be at 9:00 am Tuesday, July 14 at San Antonito Parish, 12503 NM-14, Sandia Park, NM 87047. Mass will follow at 10:00 am.
