Barbara Louise Kraemer Maxwell

Barbara Louise Kraemer Maxwell passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 29, 2024, at 95 years old. Barbara was born in Albuquerque, NM on August 17, 1928, the seventh of eight children to Armin William and Emilie Kraxberger Kraemer. After graduating from high school, Barbara worked for Strong's Book Store and the Albuquerque Ice Plant. Barbara worked for the University of Albuquerque for 18 years as a Payroll Specialist until the university closed in 1986 and in the same capacity for the Archdiocese of Santa Fe.

Barbara was lifelong member of St. Paul Lutheran Church where she volunteered her services as well as at the Store House for many years. Her generosity, strength, and humor will be missed by her family and many loved ones. She is survived by her grandchildren, Andrew (wife, Michelle); and Sarah (husband, Jacob); daughter, Katherine; son-in-law, Peter; nieces and nephews, extended family; and many friends who feel like family. She was preceded in death by her daughter Patricia; her parents; and her six brothers and sister.

Barbara was a wonderful mother and amazing grandmother who worked hard at life and lived life well. She went over the ditch down to the river to play volleyball with her family, every Sunday for over 62 years.
