Barbara Jones

Barbara Jones, age 85, left this world to join her heavenly father on April 24, 2025.

Barbara was born on February 23, 1940, in Oklahoma City, OK, to parents, Mervil "Bob" Williams and Suzanne Gabus Williams.

She was a resident of Albuquerque for over 50 years. Born in Oklahoma City where she graduated from Putnam City High School and attended Oklahoma State University and also graduated from the Oklahoma School of Banking.

She was an exemplary mother of four children: Marie Jones, Troy and wife, Yvonne, Steven and wife, Carolyn, Kimberly and husband, Bill Whelchel; and their children, Jacob and Raymond and wife, Samantha and our great-granddaughter, Adelyn.

Barbara worked for Queen of Heaven School and Savon Flowers.

She loved doing crafts, bowling, and square dancing. She and her husband, Darrell traveled around the country from the east to the west coast. They were married for 61 years.

One of her most fulfilling accomplishments was years of effort to do baby books on each of her four children and documenting books on her husband's career and personal life.

Funeral arrangements are being done through French Funerals. Private Family Services will be held.
