Barbara Bernal passed away peacefully on Tuesday April 22, 2025. She was born on June 10, 1947, to Max and Betty Rahn. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Tiffany; husband, Michael; and brother, Rocky. She is survived by her daughters, Kimberly Gross (Brian), Melissa Maechtlen (Jacob), and Melinda Cordova (Jose); her brother, Lou Rahn (Christine); and grandchildren, Tyler, Angelo, Mason, Emma, Max, Addison, and Camden. She was very loved by her sisters-in-law, Virginia, Madeline, Patsy, Sandra, and Mary, who were like sisters to her.
Barbara worked as a budget analyst for the US Army Corps of Engineers for 35 years. In her retirement, she enjoyed watching her grandkids, gardening, and taking long walks with her dog and cat.
She was a woman of deep faith in Jesus and was a constant source of love and support for her family and friends.
Barbara was a beautiful person whose warmth and kindness left a lasting impression. She will be greatly missed but forever loved and never forgotten.
A service will be held Thursday, May 1, 2025, 10:30 a.m., with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m., at FRENCH - University. Burial and reception will follow.
