Barbara Jean Louise Alvarez

Barbara Alvarez, age 59, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend, passed away Tuesday, February 21, 2017. Barbara was known for her sense of humor, loyalty, and passion to help others.
She is survived by her husband, Harold; their children, Dominic, Damien, Edduina; and their grandchildren, Kateri, Nakai, Dyamii, Shay, Damien Jr., and Logan. She is also survived by her father, Joe; brother, Joe Jr.; and sister, Eileen. She also leaves many cherished aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Barbara was preceded in death by her mother, Lena; and her aunt, Isabel.
Services will be held at St. Augustine Church in Isleta, NM on Saturday February 25, 2017. Viewing begins at 8:00 AM, rosary at 8:30 AM, with mass and burial immediately following starting at 9:00 AM. Post funeral reception will be held at the Isleta recreational center located off of Tribal Rd 40 in Isleta, NM at approximately 11:00 AM.
