Arvece C. Whetstone of Gaithersburg, MD, and formerly of Albuquerque, passed away on Monday, May 22, 2017 surrounded by her loving family.
Arvece C. Whetstone was born in Winsboro, TX in December 1917. She was the beloved wife of the late Rev. J. Newton Whetstone and was a member of St. John’s Methodist church of Albuquerque. Arvece is survived by her two sons, Clayton N. Whetstone (wife Donna) of Bonita, CA and James R. Whetstone (wife Rosemary) of Gaithersburg, MD. She is also survived by three grandsons; and two step grandchildren; sister-in-law, Gloria Whetstone; nieces, Vicki Thornton and Jan Hoskison of the Dallas/Ft. Worth area; and nephew, Jimmy Frank Clayton of Austin, TX.
Her Graveside Service will be Tuesday, May 30, 2017, 2:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in her name to St. John’s United Methodist Church, Albuquerque, NM or to the charity of your choice.
