Arthur A. Warn

Arthur Warn, 93, beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away on Wednesday, February 13, 2019. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 70 years, Bernice, in 2014. He is survived by his daughters, Barbara Golden (Edward) of Salt Lake City and Carol Koblinski (Larry) of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Scott Wheelwright, Stacey Wheelwright and Laura Rubio (Rafael); and great-grandchildren, Em Miller, Elliana and Jonah Rubio. He was born in Milwaukee, WI where, on the first day of school in the ninth grade he met "the most beautiful girl in class," Bernice. They were married in December, 1943 and one month later he shipped out to serve his country in the South Pacific as a member of the Navy during WWII. The family moved to Albuquerque in 1957, where he worked for ACF Industries and Albuquerque Public Schools as the Assistant Director of Data Processing. He retired in 1987. In high school he lettered in track and played the tuba in the marching band. As an adult he enjoyed fishing and camping. He bowled, played baseball, golf, and pool, and was an exceptional card player and wonderful babysitter. He also did beautiful woodworking for many years. In his eighties he learned to cook and might have even endeavored to wash a load or two of laundry. Above all of these was a deep love for his family. This tough man and loving soul will be missed beyond words...until we meet again. Visitation will be on Friday, February 22, 2019, at 12:00 p.m. FRENCH-Wyoming followed by a Graveside service at 1:00 p.m. at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 7999 Wyoming Blvd. NE. Albuquerque NM.
