Antonio Humberto Quinones-Rivera

September 25, 1941 — September 9, 2023

 

It is with heavy hearts and much sadness that we announce the passing of Antonio Humberto Quiñonez on Saturday, September 9th, 2023, at 81 years old. 

 

A loving husband, father, grandfather, Albuquerque business owner, and friend. 
Visitation and Rosary will be held on Thursday Sept 28th, 2023, starting at 6:00pm at FRENCH- Lomas. A Funeral Mass will be held the following day Friday Sept 29, 2023, 11:00am at Our Lady of Assumption church 811 Guaymas Pl NE. 

Humberto is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years Bertha Quiñonez; son Luis Quiñonez, son Oscar Quiñonez; daughter-in-law Julie Quiñonez; daughter Olga Charrette; son-in-law Zachary Charrette; and eight beautiful grandchildren, Ceasar and Andres Charrette, Astrid, Bianca, and Caris Quiñonez, Antonio, Lourdes and Oscarito Quiñonez. 

 

Born in Chihuahua, Chih., Mx. and raised in Cd. Juarez, Chih., Mx., he came to the U.S. in 1964 and took up residential and commercial painting as his primary trade. In 1976 he established High Quality Paint Co., a residential and commercial painting contractor and continued to actively manage his company and work in the construction industry till 2018. 

His passion for life and his work ethic have been standards to live by for his entire family and his community. 

 

Humberto always expressed the importance of family. He helped many from his extended family achieve their American Dream, by providing employment and support in many ways. He expressed the importance of education to his children and grandchildren, nieces, and nephews by urging them to go to school and consistently rewarding them for getting good grades. Humberto was truly an American Dream come true becoming a citizen of the US in 1983. His legacy will continue through the family he leaves behind and their memories of him pushing them to accomplish more. 

 

Humberto fought an almost 6-year battle with Dementia and died peacefully with his children, Luis, Olga, Oscar, son in law Zack, god daughter, Sara Torres, and her brother Louie Torres by his side. 

The family has entrusted all funeral arrangements to FRENCH- Lomas. 

 

Thursday, September 28, 2023 Visitation and Rosary at FRENCH- Lomas. 

6:00 p.m-8:00 p.m 

 

Friday September 29, 2023 

Funeral Mass 11:00 a.m 

Our Lady of the Assumption, 811 Guaymas pl. NE 

 

Procession will follow for Interment at 

Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 1900 Edith Blvd. NE. 

 

Immediately following the burial Celebration of Life Reception 

Moose lodge, 2121 Edith Blvd NE 

Albuquerque 87102.
