Anne M. Hintze, a much loved mother and grandmother passed away the morning of February 7, 2016 at the age of 88. She was born on February 6, 1928 in Massachusetts. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lt. Col. Milton A. Hintze, and since resided in Albuquerque for the past 20 years. Anne had been a civil servant with the federal government since 1944 until her retirement from service at Fort Carson, CO in 1992. She was a sweet, intelligent, generous, and compassionate woman who enriched many lives, especially those of her family.
She is survived by her daughters, Linda Connors, married to Carl Connors of Albuquerque and Laurie Burke, married to Andrew Burke of Phoenix, AZ; her son, James Hintze, married to Shannon Hintze of Dallas, TX; her sister, Scotty Costa of Boca Raton, FL; as well as seven grandchildren, Jordan, Lauren, Taylor, Kristin, Michelle, Mitchell, and Brian.
Anne was active in local and national veterans groups as well as local Goodwill charities. She was a passionate golf fan, loved her animals, and was an avid reader.
Interment will take place at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Albuquerque. A Memorial Service will be planned for mid-March. Memorial contributions may be made to woundedwarriorproject.org.
