Anna Jane Sneddon

Anna Sneddon, age 93, entered the presence of our Lord on May 30, 2026, in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Anna was a longtime resident of Penn Hills Pennsylvania, and was preceded in death by her husband George who passed in December 2003.

She is survived by her brother John and his wife Bernadette; her sons Martin and Stephen (Ruth); her granddaughters Sarah and Elizabeth (Matthew). 

Anna was born in Wilpen, PA on May 25, 1933, to Michael Kislan and Mary (Kolesar) Kislan. She was a graduate of Oakmont High School, class of 1951. For many years she was a member of the Kathryn Kuhlman choir where she met her husband, George.

Along with being a wonderful wife and mother, she worked throughout her life. Anna was employed for several local companies including Edgewater Steel, the Red Bull Inn, and Kaufmann's Department store. She enjoyed being active in her local garden club where she served as Chapter President for several years and was a repeat blue-ribbon winner.

Anna gave freely of her time as a volunteer at the First Reformed Presbyterian Church of Penn Hills where she was a member since 1965. She worked in the church's office and assisted in the senior citizen and youth outreach programs. She especially enjoyed visiting shut-ins, ill and lonely seniors, and ministering to them through song, fellowship, and prayer.

For the past year, Anna resided at The Woodmark at Uptown Assisted Living facility in Albuquerque and was active in many activities. She became a well-known participant and enjoyed the fellowship of the residents and staff. She received very good care from the medical techs and assistants who tended to her during her final days.

She will be interred at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Albuquerque, New Mexico during a private ceremony for immediate family.

She was loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
