Anna Matonti

Anna Matonti, age 80, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away on March 11, 2016. Anna's faith defined her and sustained her. Even when faced with the harshest of circumstances, she remained hopeful and devoted to our Lord and his word. We can now rejoice that she is with God and no longer suffering. Anna was loved by so many for her beautiful spirit, kind heart, and loving nature; she touched everyone she met. Anna was an amazing woman who loved to cook and feed everyone. Her favorite thing to say was "mangia!" She will be missed by all who knew her.
Anna is survived by her husband, Giuseppe (Joe), daughter Rosa Matonti and her husband Eric Montoya, daughter Maria Matonti, and grandchildren AnneMarie Mal and Christopher Mal. Anna is also survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Carmela and Frank Russo, sister Francesca Uzzauto, and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Rosary will be recited Tuesday, March 15, 2016, 7:00 p.m., at FRENCH - Wyoming. Friends and family may visit beginning at 6:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, March 16, 2016, 8:30 a.m., at Our Lady of the Annunciation Parish, 2621 Vermont St. NE; followed by entombment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Casa Angelica (505-877-5763).
