Anna Jane Maki

Anna Jane Maki, age 80, of Albuquerque, NM, went to be with the Lord on August 14, 2026. She was born on June 29, 1946, in Walla Walla, Washington. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Roy Miller, Sr., Anna Salmon, and stepfather, Leonard Salmon; and younger brother, Glen Miller. Anna is survived by her daughter, Sueann D. Miller; son, Dennis D. Maki; brother, James Roy Miller, Jr.; sister-in-law, Tina Miller; niece, Minta Miller; nephew, Zachary Miller and wife, Rebekah, and their children, Katie, James, Freddie, George, Brian, and Joseph.

Anna was a loving mother who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was dedicated to working for the VA Hospital for 52 years serving in many departments. She spent the last part of her career working within the Logistics Department. Anna was involved in several ministries, working in the nursery and the Café at Uptown Church and AWANA at both Uptown and Monterey Baptist Church. She liked going on mystery trips as well as having weekly breakfasts at various senior citizen centers with her numerous friends. She was an avid TV watcher of Murder She Wrote and The Lone Ranger. She enjoyed playing cards, Bingo, and doing word searches. To know her was to love her…

Memorial services will be held Friday, August 28, 2026, 10:30 a.m., at Monterey Baptist Church, 12501 Lomas Blvd. NE. She will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE, at 12:00 p.m. following the service.
