Anna Minna Butterwegge

Anna M. Butterwegge, 88, a resident of Albuquerque for the last 40 years, passed away on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 in Albuquerque.

Anna was born in Altenstadt, Germany to Heinrich and Elisa Spangenberg Grede on September 19, 1929. She was the oldest of four daughters. Anna emigrated to the United States with her family in 1957, and lived in the Buffalo New York area for 20 years. She worked as a Tailor for Mr. Casual, and Dillards Department store at Winrock for a number of years and also as an owner of her own alteration business. She enjoyed traveling and her many crafts.

Anna is preceded in death by her husband, Wilhelm Butterwegge; and infant daughter, Ilona. Anna is survived by her son, Ralf of Germany; daughter, Isolde and husband, Lee of Cedar Crest, NM; grandchildren, Jude, Jason, and Nicole; great grandchildren, Ella, Riley, Noelle, and Elora.

A Memorial Service will be held Friday, January 12, 2018, 2:00 p.m. at FRENCH - Lomas.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Alzheimer's Foundation of America, 322 Eighth Avenue, 7th floor, New York, NY 10001. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Presbyterian Hospice. May she find peace in her final resting place.
