Amy N. Roberts, age 50, passed away peacefully surrounded by laughter, love, and family on July 25, 2026.
Amy was born on September 10, 1975, in Fort Collins, Colorado. She grew up in Albuquerque, graduating from El Dorado High School in 1994. She graduated from UNLV in 1999 with a degree in Kinesiology.
She was a competitive gymnast until starting high school, where she was a cheerleader for four years.
She enjoyed cake decorating - making special cakes for her sons' birthdays. They loved her chocolate chip and Christmas cut-out cookies.
Amy lived in England as a military wife before returning to Albuquerque with sons in 2010.
She attended CNM , becoming the first medical coder intern with Presbyterian Hospital. After completing the Medical Coder Program, she became a full-time employee with Presbyterian. She loved her job, managers, and coworkers, but most importantly working from home where she could be there for her sons.
Amy is survived by her sons, Robert and Aiden; mother, LouAnn Baer; father, Melvin Baer; sister, Brenda Baer; many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and her beloved dog, Gnocchi.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Rich and Jean Gettman, Robert and Jean Baer, uncle, Carey Gettman, and cousin, Randy Gettman.
She will be forever missed.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at 10:00 am at French Funerals - Westside Chapel. A graveside service will take place at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery at 11:30 a.m. followed by a reception at French Funerals - Westside Reception Room from 1:00 p.m. - 3 p.m.
Pallbearers: Dave Baer, Matt Baer, Brian Baer, Shannon Gettman, Darrell Gettman, Christ Koester, Robert Roberts, and Aiden Roberts.
Honorary Pallbearers: Rich Gettman and Jim Cook.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to any animal rescue or shelter. Amy loved her dogs.
She loved Harry Potter - reading all the books to her sons. Some of her favorite quotes were:
