Amelinda Zertuche

Amelinda "Mela" Zertuche, 90, of Benbrook, Texas, passed away Friday, December 8, 2023.

Mela was born June 15, 1933, in Albuquerque, New Mexico to Meliton Silva and Prescilliana Morales Silva. She was a proud New Mexican who loved to socialize with her many friends from the Birthday Girls, Latin Clubs, bowling and softball leagues. She worked 25 years for Walmart. Mela will be welcomed in Heaven with many open arms and wagging tails. God Bless our beloved mother for her unconditional love and family devotion. Until we meet again . . .

Mela was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Felipe, Liz, Belen, and Rita.

Survivors include her loving children, Yvonne, Alfred, Dianna, and Jenette; sisters, Margaret and Elena; and her beloved grandchildren, Nicole, Alfred, Eric, Christina, and Nash; and great-grandchildren, Freddy, Hayden, Kaitlyn, and Willow.

A Graveside service will be held Wednesday, December 20, 2023, 2:00 p.m., at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE.
