In Loving Memory of Amar Bharadwaj

June 17, 1949 - February 23, 2026

It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of Amar Bharadwaj, who left this world peacefully on February 23, 2026, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, surrounded by his loving family. He was 76 years old. He was born and raised in Jamshedpur, Amar carried with him a lifelong curiosity and love of learning. He trained as an engineer at Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur before immigrating to the United States to continue his education. He earned a master's degree in operations research from Case Western Reserve University and later completed his MBA at Ohio State University.

At age 27, Amar married the love of his life, Jayashree, beginning a devoted partnership that would span 48 years. Together, they built a life rooted in family, learning, laughter, and shared adventure. They eventually settled in South Jersey, where Amar became a cherished member of the Triveni community for more than four decades, generously contributing his time, talents, and spirit to community life.

Amar was a man of many passions. He loved history, museums, archery, tennis, table tennis, and watching cricket. He was an avid reader and a skilled woodworker who delighted in crafting with his hands. His fascination with swords reflected both his appreciation for craftsmanship and his love of the past. Those who knew Amar remember him as brilliant, generous, and deeply funny, with a mischievous spark that never faded. He loved to teach, whether sharing knowledge, telling stories, or guiding his grandchildren, who brought him immense joy.

In his later years, Amar made his home in Albuquerque, where he continued to be surrounded by the love of his family.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Jayashree Bharadwaj; his daughter, Sarita Warrick (Yohance); his son, Keshav (Monica); and his cherished grandchildren: Aavya, Corbin, Declan, and Elim. He is also survived by his brother, Mahindra Bardwaj (Mythili), and sister-in-law, Sarojini Bardwaj. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leela and Keshaviah Bharadwaj; his sisters, Usha Kumra (Mohinder) and Uma Kumar; and his brother, Ravi Bardwaj.

Amar's life was marked by intellect, humor, generosity, and deep love for his family. His legacy lives on in the many lives he shaped, the lessons he shared, and the joy he brought to those fortunate enough to know him.
