Alvin E. Farmer

Alvin E. Farmer peacefully passed away on Monday, February 20, 2017. He was surrounded by family who recounted wonderful memories and spoke of his dedication to family, friends, church, and work. Alvin was born on August 8, 1928 in Albuquerque. He is preceded in death by his wife, Donna M. Rideout; mother, Mary Bau; father, William A. Farmer; and sister, Nella Hensley. He is survived by his children, Nancy Walthall, Denise Canard and husband Roger, Lynn Carl and husband Scott, Kenneth Farmer and wife, Sara and Jane Farmer; grandchildren, Ceonna Messing, LaSella Walthall, Stephanie Carl, and Bryce Patterson; great-grandchild, Skylar Walthall. Rosary will be recited Friday, March 3, 2017, 10:30 a.m. followed by Mass at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church, Lomas and Tennessee. Interment will occur at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests performing a random act of kindness in Alvin's honor.
