Alicia DeHerrera, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, peacefully departed this world on September 2, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and cherished memories.

Alicia was born on August 21, 1958, in the town of Woodstock, Virginia, where she began a journey that would touch countless lives with her genuine warmth and compassion.

In October 1977, Alicia married the love of her life, Joseph DeHerrera. Together, they built a beautiful life over 48 wonderful years, raising two extraordinary daughters, Kristin and Rachel. Alicia's devotion to her family was unwavering, and her greatest joy was spending time with them, especially her cherished grandchildren, Erin and JJ. Her home was a haven of laughter and love, a place where everyone felt welcome.

Alicia's interests were as varied as her talents. She found solace and excitement in the audiobooks she enjoyed listening to and was known for her keen puzzle-making skills. Music was another of her great loves, and she delighted in attending live concerts with her family, creating memories that would last a lifetime.

Her kindness, generosity, and ability to make everyone around her feel valued were hallmarks of her character. Alicia was always ready to lend a helping hand, and her selfless spirit inspired all who knew her. Her presence was a gift, and her absence leaves a profound emptiness in the hearts of those who loved her.

A celebration of Alicia's life will be held on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at 2:00 PM at FRENCH-Wyoming. The family invites all who knew and loved Alicia to join them in remembering her beautiful life and the joy she brought to those around her.
