Alice Rita Gibson

Alice Rita Gibson, age 74, passed away on Saturday, May 18, 2024, at her home in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She is survived by Michael R. Gibson, her husband of 50 years.

Michael said, “Alice was easy to get to know because she was friendly. I fell in love with her when I first saw her. She became my soulmate in 1973. She and I matured together. We argued, made up, and evolved into senior citizenship past our 50th anniversary.”

Alice was raised a Catholic and had a BA in Math from the University of Colorado-Boulder. Her employment history took full advantage of her organizing and artistic skills. She was an ardent reader and crafter, who enjoyed fiber arts, crochet, needlepoint, and quilting. She also enjoyed folk music and some musicals.  Alice will be missed by her friends at Taylor Ranch Community Center.

Rosary will be recited on Monday, June 3, 2024; 9:30 a.m., at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church, 5712 Paradise Blvd NW, 87114, Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:15 a.m. 

Interment will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery, Santa Fe, NM.
