Our beautiful son, Alexander Demetrios Wilson "Sasha", was born on December 17, 2000, in Mala Kalynivka, Ukraine, and had his life cruelly taken by a senseless act of violence in Albuquerque on January 1, 2026.

He is survived by his parents, William T. Wilson "Bill" and Twila Galanis-Wilson; his twin sister, Natalia Wilson; and his paternal grandfather, Robert C. Wilson.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Demetrios "James" and Vera Galanis; uncle, George Galanis; aunt, Linda Galanis; and his paternal grandmother, Betty Sue Wilson.

Sasha was a kindhearted young man with a charming personality. He was gifted in the ministry of "helps". Helping was a driving force in his short life, and he was particularly dedicated to helping his parents and grandfather. The most frequently used word for those who have described him is: sweet.

Sasha was also very entertaining. He'd always made everyone laugh with his quick wit and was particularly good at self-deprecating humor. His passion was longboarding and knowing all about cars, but his primary interest has always been food. In the tradition of Oliver Twist, when he smelled something cooking or saw something he deemed delectable, he would sing, "Food, glorious food! "

There are no words to describe this loss, but as scripture states, "... we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope." Sasha had made a commitment to Jesus Christ. He was not perfect, but had made significant strides in his relationship with Christ Jesus for which we are eternally grateful. He rests in the arms of his Lord and Savior. Until we are reunited, he will be deeply missed every single day of our remaining time on earth.

Services will be held Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at French Funerals - Westside Chapel on Golf Course Rd. from 12:00 p.m. - 1:30 p.m. with entombment at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery on Menaul Blvd. at 2:00 p.m. Officiating will be Rev. Bryan Booney.
