ARSENAULT, ALBERT "AL" EDWARDBorn July 23, 1931, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 24, 2012. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Alice Arsenault; seven children, Ed Arsenault and Annette Gomez of Killeen TX, Nikki Joseph and husband, John of Albuquerque, Alana Bennett and husband, Russ of Modesto CA, Roylene Mills and husband, Les of Rio Rancho, NM, Jo Hughes and husband, Dave of Dalbo MN, Roy Arsenault and Cyndee Tabhan of San Antonio, TX, and Jon Arsenault and wife, Gina of Albuquerque; sisters, Florence Hernandez of Florida and Beverly Houghton of Florida; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, along with many other family members and friends. Al was born in Newburyport, MA. After high school, he enlisted in the US Air Force and retired after serving our country for 21 years. He served as a Security Police Officer and Military Training Instructor. After retirement, he was the Chief of Police on the Towaoc Indian Reservation in Colorado. Al then moved to Stanley NM and worked as a Security Guard at Sandia National Labs. Al also received a degree in Business Administration. Al spent his final years living in Hawley TX before moving last year to the Albuquerque/Rio Rancho area in order to be close to family. Funeral services will be held at French-Westside Chapel Thursday, June 28, at 12:00 pm. Internment will follow at 3:00 pm, at Santa Fe National Cemetery with full military honors. The family requests in lieu of flowers that memorial contributions be made in Albert's name to the Alzheimer's Foundation, NM Chapter, 9500 Montgomery Blvd. NE, Ste 121, ABQ, NM 87111.
