James Sprunk

James David Sprunk Sr., age 49, passed away Friday, October 4, 2019.

He was born July 30, 1970, in Albuquerque, NM, to Joe and Mabel Sprunk.

He served as a Route Uniform Sales Rep at Cintas Corp. He was always more than happy to talk about his beloved Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers. His family was his world, and he spent most of his days striving to make his kids’ and grandkids’ days better than the last. Throughout each day, he was cracking jokes and making everyone in the room laugh. He was very proud of his two sons, James and Daryn, for serving in the United States Armed Forces, and he flew the American flag outside his home with pride and honor.

James was preceded in death by his father, Joe Sprunk; his brother, Joe Sprunk, and son, Adrian Sprunk. He is survived by his beloved wife of 18 years, Tanya Sprunk; children, James Sprunk Jr. and his wife, Lauren, Shaniece Salazar and her husband, Phil, Daryn Sprunk, Alexis Galloway and her fiancé, Tibo DeHerrera, and Jordyn Sprunk; grandchildren, AJ, Dominick, Aaliyah, Jayce, Kayleen, Isaiah, and Faith; mother, Mabel Sprunk; siblings, Ric Sprunk, Mike Sprunk, Denise Altamirano, and Martin Sprunk. A visitation will be held on Thursday, October 10, 2019, 10:00 a.m., with a Funeral Service to follow at FRENCH-Westside. Interment will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Park at 924 Menaul Blvd. NE.
