Michael “Mike” Doherty, a long-time resident of Albuquerque, passed away suddenly in the early morning hours of Friday, April 12, 2019. Mike spent the majority of his career as an Electronics Technician with the City of Albuquerque. He retired in 2004 but has continued to work for the City of Albuquerque in a consultant role. He was preceded in death by his sister, Paula; brothers, John and Stephen; parents, John and Josephine Doherty of Philadelphia, PA; and most recently, his beloved wife of 40 years, Janice Paris. He is survived by his daughter, Suzanne Crider and her husband, CJ; and their daughters, Madelyn (11) and Abigail (6) of Fort Mill, SC; brother, Dan Doherty and his family of Sumter, SC; and sister, Megan Doherty-Slonicki and her family of Irvine, CA. Mike was known for his quick wit, generous spirit, and his fantastic sense of humor. He will be missed dearly by the countless friends and family members who loved him. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2019, 10:00 a.m., at FRENCH-Westside.
