June Kathleen O'Hea, of Albuquerque, NM, passed away from complications due to Alzheimer's on Monday, October 21, 2019, at the age of 84. June was born on January 31, 1935, to Gladys and Raymond Sullivan in International Falls, MN. She graduated from Falls High School in 1953 where she was in the Honor Society, Year Book Editor and voted Most Likely to Succeed. She lived in many locations throughout the US, but settled in Albuquerque, NM in 1968 to raise her five children with her former husband, Eugene J. O'Hea, who preceded her in death in 1989.
June was a devoted mother, grandmother, teacher, caterer and chef. She was an avid reader, loved to word games, and watching Wheel of Fortune and Family Feud. She blessed the lives of many with her talents and years of volunteer work with The Knights of Columbus, the Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts and the New Mexico Arts and Crafts Fair.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; her son, Timothy Patrick; and her brothers, Patrick Sullivan, Raymond Sullivan, Father Thomas Sullivan, James Sullivan, John Sullivan, Robert Sullivan, Donald Sullivan and Michael Sullivan. She is survived by her brother, William (Sandra) Sullivan; her sisters, Rosemary O'Neil (Patrick- deceased) and Maureen (Daniel) Kearney; children, Patrick (Renee) O'Hea, Kevin (Shelly) O'Hea, Kathleen (Donald) Brauer and Maureen (Leroy) Furrow; 10 grandchildren, Gina (Jon) Fox, Conner (Laura) O’Hea, Kelli (Davis) Muwumba, Kyle (Annie) O’Hea, Marcus Furrow, Ryan (Lanie) O’Hea, Keelan O’Hea, Sean (Kilby) O’Hea, Jacob Furrow and Hannah Furrow, and two great-grandchildren, Eliette Fox, Finnegan O’Hea and one on the way, Baby Muwumba.
A Celebration of Life for June will be held Friday, December 20, 20190, 2:00 p.m., at FRENCH – Wyoming. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to be made to The Alzheimer's Association.
