Anthony "Tony" D. Perea, age 65, a life-long resident of Albuquerque, died on Sunday, May 13, 2018. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Kathy Perea; children, Micheal D. Perea, Paul D. Perea and wife, Christy, and Kevin D. Perea; grandson, Kevin Perea, Jr.; sisters and brothers: Rosella Berni, Juanita Washington, Richard Hernandez, Steven Hernandez, Ruben (Chubby) Hernandez, Maria Hernandez (Dodi), and Charles Magana; mother-in-law, Ginger Contreras; brother-in-law, Kent Contreras and wife, Michelle; numerous nieces and nephews; his dog, Jazzmine; and many other relatives and friends. Tony was preceded in death by his parents, Abran Perea and Margaret Serna Jaramillo; father-in-law, Larry Contreras; and step-father, William R. Hernandez. He was born in 1952 and graduated from Manzano High School, Class of 1971. After graduation, Anthony joined the United States Air Force where he proudly served and obtained the rank of Sergeant. He worked for Goodyear 16 years. Tony was an avid golfer. He was a quiet, loving person who had a personable and humorous side to him. Tony loved to barbeque and dance. He was very honorable. Anthony was a loving husband, father, grandpa, brother and friend and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Friends and family may visit Monday, May 21, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. till a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at FRENCH – Lomas. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 22, 2018, 9:00 a.m. at The Shrine of St. Bernadette, 11401 Indian School Road NE. Interment will follow at 1:30 p.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery, with honors by the United States Air Force.
