Patrick L. Wehling

Patrick L. Wehling, age 98, a resident of Albuquerque since 1964, passed away on Thursday, September 22, 2022.
Patrick is survived by his children, Pat Wehling, Jr. and his wife, Ruth Anne, Mary Pedersen and her husband, Dennis, Joe Wehling and his wife, Debra, Chris Wehling and Matt Wehling, four grandchildren, Jessica, Luke, Emma and Alice, step-granddaughter, Shayla Heavner, and numerous nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. Patrick was preceded in death by his wife, Lorene M. Wehling, his parents, George Anton Wehling and Claire Marie Sigl and 8 siblings.

Patrick was born in 1924 in Union City, Oklahoma and graduated from Minco High School and attended the Oklahoma A&M College at Stillwater.
Patrick married Lorene M. Rice on September 3, 1946. They enjoyed traveling to visit family and attend 449th Bomb Group reunions and family reunions. He was a veteran of WW II and Korea. He was a Boy Scout leader at Our Lady of Fatima Troop 189 for many years and was an avid gardener and woodworker. Patrick retired from a long career with the Bureau of Indian Affairs in Oklahoma, New Mexico, Montana and Wyoming. Patrick was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Special thanks to Pat's caregivers DJ, Roxanne, and John.

A viewing will be held at French-University,Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at 4:00 p.m. and a Rosary at 6:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, 4020 Lomas Blvd. NE on Thursday, October 13, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. with a reception to follow at FRENCH- University. Interment will take place at Santa Fé National Cemetery, Santa Fé, NM.
