Elden Okino, loving husband, father and friend passed away and was greeted by his son on Wednesday, February 1, 2023. He was blessed with a lung transplant giving him an additional 15 years in this life. Elden was known for his kind nature. He smiled with his whole face, lighting up the room. Bernard Clayton Kuenzel was born in Eagle Bend, MN on May 19, 1927, the sixth child of Henry and Laura Kuenzel.  He attended school in Eagle Bend. On June 4, 1949, he married Audrey Huwe at Bethel Lutheran Church in St. Paul, MN. Six children were born to their marriage: Gary, Nancy, Bruce, Karla, Julie and Kurt. Parkinson's Disease made this a rough one, yet he never lost his infectious smile, sense of humor, nor gratitude for the increasing help he was forced to accept.
