Terrie Q. Sayre

SAYRE, THERESE M. Terrie Q. Sayre, 54 of Albuquerque since 2007, died Thursday January 22, 2015. She is survived by her spouse Lloyd K. Skip Sayre of Albuquerque; brother, Brad; nieces, nephews and friends. Terrie was preceded in death by her father James and her mother Beverly. Since 2007 Terrie hosted the popular New Mexico radio show "Weekends with Terrie Q Sayre" on 770 KKOB. She had a long career as a radio and television host, auctioneer, mistress of ceremonies, model, showgirl and actress. She was a tireless advocate for the animals of the world and used her positions as a media personality to publicize the causes of animal welfare, dog and cat rescue for many years in both Nevada and New Mexico. She helped facilitate the adoption of hundreds of homeless pets. She was born in Van Nuys, California and spent her childhood in Van Nuys and Lake Oswego, Oregon. She moved to South Lake Tahoe, California as a young woman and lived in Northern Nevada until she relocated to New Mexico to pursue her broadcasting career. Memorial Service will be held Saturday, January 31, 2015 at 5:00 p.m. at The Anderson-Abruzzo Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta Museum, 9201 Balloon Museum Dr. NE.
